Details : The Engineering Community across India celebrates Engineers Day on 15 September every year as a tribute to the greatest Indian Engineer Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, born on 15 September, 1861, in Muddenahalli near Chikkaballapur. He went on to become India’s most prolific civil engineer, dam builder, economist, statesman, and can be counted among the last century’s fore .So here, on this auspicious occasion we celebrated the engineers day by our department on Sat. 15th Sept 2015. This function was organized by PRESM for all the teaching , non-teaching faculties and students of the Production department.

This function was started by 9.30am by welcome speech conducting, after that general & technical aptitude test of 30 marks is started at 10.00 am for the students of SE , TE & BE students. Based on the results of this test we shortlisted twenty students five from each SE, TE, and ten from BE. For these twenty students further task is arranged that is assembly disassembly of two wheeler component, in which a group of four students is, formed (Total 5 groups). Three best groups selected from five groups and awarded by certificates and cash prize. Some of the students from SE have given the speech on this engineer’s day highlighting the importance of engineers. Our HOD also addressed to the students with his valuable thoughts. All faculties were provided with delicious snacks. This function ended at 2.00pm.

Around 10 teaching & non-teaching staff as well as 110-120 students were attended this function. Everybody enjoyed a lot this function along with the importance of the engineers in day today life. These functions come to an end with thanking speech by BE student Vishal Mungekar.
