NATIONAL CADET CORPS
National Service Scheme, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India, popularly known as NCC was launched in Gandhiji's Birth Centenary Year 1969, with primary focus on the development of personality of students through community service. The activity forum for NCC includes areas like, National Integration Camp, Blood Donation, Plantation, Immunisation, Shramdaan, Disaster Management, and Adventure Programmes.
Our institute got engaged in NCC in 1999 through "Shrushti Nature Club" affiliated with WWF. In 2011 our college received the permission to perform NCC activities affiliated with the Shivaji University. Since then our NCC journey with active participation of the students and support of the staff is started with the achievement of great milestones.
What students should do to participate in NCC?
Students should remain as a NCC member for minimum 2 years.
Every year they should at least work for 120 hours.
It's mandatory for the students to attend a 7-days camp.
Student's Benefit
After working for 2 years (240 hours), students receive a certificate from the Shivaji University.
In the final year of the degree, students receive 10 marks for their efforts.
In case of failure in the examination of the students, there is an increment by 10 marks.
