| Department of First Year B. Tech. was established in the year 1984 right from the day of inception of the college. The department includes the courses like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Professional Communication, Department helps the students in inculcating fundamentals and to develop their logical and analytical skills, which will help them to prosper in further education and their carriers. Engineering Mathematics plays an important role in formulating engineering problems into a mathematical model and providing solutions to them. Applied Physics is the root of all engineering branches. It correlates nanotechnology, mechanics, electronics, computer science, civil etc. Applied Chemistry is the basic course which focus on study of various material. The course of Professional Communication introduces some fundamental theoretical concepts as grammar, phonology, and differences between verbal and non-verbal communication. It also focuses on Liberal learning, LSRW skills, soft skills, debate, group discussion which help in the overall development of the student. Department have thirty faculty members out of which nine faculty members are Ph.D., two faculty members are NET/SET Qualified. In order to have a close look at all matters relating to the performance and discipline of the students, a Students Mentoring Cell is constituted at department. Department has enriched its curriculum by introducing courses such as Design Thinking Through Innovation, Indian Knowledge System, Fundamentals of Aptitude and Technical, Computer Programming & Problem Solving, Computer Aided Engineering Graphics, Differential Equations and Numerical Techniques, Linear Algebra and Calculus, Liberal Learning Course. Along with this also we have introduced Rural/Social Internship and F. Y. Capstone Project as a mandatory course in curriculum, which are essential to develop an all-round personality with innovative and creative mind. |
