Entrepreneurship is increasingly recognized as an important driver of economic growth of a country. Even Govt. of India has recognized the importance of entrepreneurship and has introduced programs like “Make in India” & “Start-up India”. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of DYPCET, was started in the year 2017. The aim of EDC, is to develop and strengthen entrepreneurial qualities in the budding engineers who are interested in starting their own ventures. This will open gates for creation of new knowledge-based innovative hi-tech ventures, industries and new breed of technopreneurs and more avenues of employment opportunities thus turning job seekers into job creators and in the process, leading the nation towards industrial excellence and self-reliance
Objective:
- • To promote entrepreneurship at the grass root level in the district presently
- • To develop conducive environment to encourage innovation among all entrepreneurs for promotion of MSME.
- • To gain insight into the relationship between innovation, entrepreneurship and globalization.
- • To adopt suitable strategies for supporting innovation and entrepreneurship.

Seminar on “Lokraja Startup and Innovation Conclave”
A seminar on “Lokraja Startup and Innovation Conclave” was conducted for third-year and second-year students from all departments on Wednesday 13-4-2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Resource Person: 1. Mrs. Pallavi Korgaonkar, CEO, Korgaonkar Industries, Kolhapur 2. Mr. Pravin Kayande, Project Officer, Maharashtra Center for Entrepreneurship Development. 3. Mr. Rajan Dangare, Coordinator , Kolhapur Incubation Center. Objective: The main objective of this seminar was to create awareness about startup and entrepreneurship competition and exhibition to be held on the occasion of Late Rajashree Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj’s 100th death anniversary in Kolhapur, organized by Zilla Parishad Kolhapur. |
