D. Y. Patil Education Society (Institution Deemed to be University) was established on 1st September 2005 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. Since then, the University has developed into one of the premier educational institutes in the country offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in various disciplines, fulfilling the aspirations of students hailing from several parts of the country. The University comprises of a Medical College, Nursing College, Physiotherapy College, Bachelor of Optometry, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Radiography & Imaging Technology which are actively engaged in teaching at UG, PG and Diploma levels as well as a Centre for Interdisciplinary Research.
