It is a pleasure to be the Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) at D. Y. Patil College of Engineering & Technology, Kolhapur. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering started a B.Tech. program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) from the academic year 2020-21.
AIML, being a rapidly advancing field, holds great potential in shaping the future of technology. It is our strong commitment to impart innovative and high-quality technical education at the undergraduate level in this emerging discipline.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are transforming various industries by providing advanced learning solutions and fostering the development of cutting-edge innovations. Recognizing the significance of this field, our faculty and non-teaching staff are dedicated to equipping our students with expertise and proficiency in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and its related domains. Our aim is to prepare them to thrive in our modern society, where there is a high demand for engineers with knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence.Research indicates that AI has the potential to create millions of jobs in the coming years, presenting immense opportunities for our students. To tackle both computational and real-world problems, it is essential to comprehend machine learning model development and apply AI-based software solutions effectively. With this in mind, our specialized engineering degree course has been designed to enable students to build intelligent machines, software, and applications by leveraging a combination of machine learning, analytics, and visualization technologies.At our department, we not only prioritize academic excellence but also emphasize the application of AI-based solutions to solve real-world business problems. We encourage our students to broaden their horizons and develop a comprehensive understanding of how AI can be employed in various domains.
