Newsletter Release Ceremony
D. Y. Patil College of Engineering and Technology, Kolhapur had organized a Newsletter Release Ceremony on June 21 at its College premises. President of D.Y. Patil Pratishthan, Dr. Sanjay D. Patil was the chief guest for the function. The opening of the newsletter was held by his auspicious hands. Executive Director of D.Y Patil Group. Dr. Anil Gupta introduced the newsletter and explained the objectives of the newsletter which provides a fine medium to know about the various activities happening in the college and its departments. President Dr. Sanjay D. Patil congratulated the Principal Dr. Ajitsinh Jadhav and the board of editors of the newsletter. He highlighted the importance of quality in academics and media being the best gift to spread the message among students. Principal Dr. A.N Jadhav receives Lifetime Achievement Award.
DY Patil college of Engineering and Technology is proud to inform that on 2 June 2018, their Principal Dr. A.N. Jadhav received ” Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Life Time Achievement National Award” in the field of ‘ Teaching, Research & Publications’ by International Institute of Social and Economic Reforms (R) at Bangalore
This award was handed over to Dr. Jadhav by Shri. D.H.Shankaramurthy ( Hon. Chairman, Karnataka Legislative Council, Govt. of Karnataka, Bangalore) in presence of Shri. Nagendra Magadi ( Noted Film Director), Dr.H.V.Shivappa, IES ( Economic Advisor, NITI Aayog, Govt. of India and Ms. Rajeshwari ( Kannada Film Actress) in a glittering ceremony.
Dr. A.N Jadhav has been associated with the DY Patil College of Engineering and Technology for the past 17 years as HoD, Dept. of Electronics and ETC Engg. He has worked previously as a Professor of Electronics Engineering at D.Y. Patil College of Engineering and Technology.
The President, Trustee, Executive Director, and the Teaching and non-teaching staff at DY Patil College of Engineering and Technolgy congratulate Dr. Jadhav on his achievement.

Seminar on Engineering Colleges Admissions 2018 held Successfully.
DY Patil Group of Institutions in Association with Sakal media group organized a seminar on Engineering Admissions 2018 at Sayaji Hotel, Kolhapur.
Professor Dr. Dayanand Devmore and Dr. Anant Kumar Gujar welcomed the guest and the dignitaries. Deputy General Manager of Sakal Media, Mr. Ravindra Raikar gave a speech in the beginning and stressed the importance of media in Education.
Dr. Anil Kumar Gupta welcomed the president of DYP Group Dr. Sanjay D. Patil and Trustee Mr. Ruturaj S. Patil.
Those present on the occasion were the editor of Sakal Media Group Dr. Shrirang Gaikwad, Principal Dr. A.N. Jadhav, Vice-Principal Dr. Kshema Kulhalli, Registrar Mr. Anil Patil and all the departmental heads.
Thereafter, Dr. A.K. Gupta gave a presentation on various aspects related to Engineering and its admissions. While speaking on the occasion Mr. Gupta said that majority of the parents do not know of engineering streams beyond Mechanical, Civil, and Computers. Addressing to the people he said, ” There are 190 streams of Engineering to choose from and we should not limit ourselves to a particular field of engineering only”. He urged the students to discover their own likings and not come under peer pressure or parents pressure while choosing a profession.
He also stressed the importance of maths in engineering and urged students to strengthen their mathematical and logical skills before taking up engineering as a career. Dr. Gupta gave insights on the various professions offered by engineering education in India as well as abroad. Speaking on the occasion, he stressed the importance of engineering in our everyday lives by giving examples from Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Electronics engineering. Later, he gave a presentation on the online admission system introduced by the Directorate of Technical Education and also gave a technical know-how about the various options that have to be filled by the candidate on the DTE Maharashtra website. The seminar lasted for more than two hours.
One of the parents Mr. Rajkumar Shelke said that this was indeed a very knowledgeable seminar held in Kolhapur for engineering admissions for the best engineering courses in Maharashtra he thanked DY Patil group and Sakal Media Group for bringing such a kind of an event to Kolhapur

MHT-CET 2018 Held @ DYPCET
DY Patil College of Engineering and Technology Kolhapur (DYPCET) was one of the nominated centers in Kolhapur city for MH CET 2018.
More than 500 students appeared for this examination at our center and most found the papers were easy. Expressing their satisfaction many students were happy that the papers easier than the Joint Entrance Exam conducted last month. MH CET comprises of 3 papers paper 1 is Mathematics paper 2 is Physics and Chemistry and paper 3 is biology which is generally for medical and Pharma aspirants. The admission and counseling cell at DY Patil College of Engineering and Technology will be open from 21st may 2018 students and parents have been informed to take benefit of this facility so as to acquaint themselves with the process of online admission and selection of college admin May 11th, 2018
